The Empirical Educator Project is designed around fostering collaboration and contribution. First, there is solid evidence that people learn best by doing. Second, we believe that these hackathon-like projects in the particular kind of cross-network cohort that we have invited to participate will foster lasting bonds, connecting networks that have thus far been largely separate.
But we also believe that the tangible output of at least some of these projects can form the basis for a sector-wide discipline of academic transformation. And in some cases, we curate contributions from individual organizations that we believe can form the basis of future collaborative projects.
We publish these project artifacts if and when their creators are comfortable contributing them under open licenses.
